Here is a lovely poem I would like to share with you called
New Beginnings by Gertrude B. McClain

It's only the beginning now
...a pathway yet unknown
At times the sound of other steps
...sometimes we walk alone

The best beginnings of our lives
May sometimes end in sorrow
But even on our darkest days
The sun will shine tomorrow.

So we must do our very best
Whatever life may bring
And look beyond the winter chill
To smell the breath of spring.

Into each life will always come
A time to start anew
A new beginning for each heart
As fresh as morning dew.

Although the cares of life are great
And hands are bowed so low
The storms of life will leave behind
The wonder of a rainbow.

The years will never take away
Our chance to start anew
It's only the beginning now
So dreams can still come true.

Tips on how to prevent and deal naturally with pain >>> VIDEO

Tips on how to prevent and deal naturally with pain
  1. Prevention : wear appropriate shoes (and protection if sparing)
  2. Hydrate properly to dehydration leading to headaches/migraines
  3. Oxygenate : go outdoors for a brisk walk to breath in some fresh oxygen
  4. Eat the right foods: a diet too rich in sugars and bad fats will create imbalance in your body which might result in illness. Home cooked is best.
  5. Try external natural herbal remedies before reaching for painkillers such as  Tei Fu Lotion

Our philosophy: It’s all about the foods that we eat, the exercise that we do and the thoughts that we think.

Coping with parental stress…

Need an emotional lift? Or need to blow off some steam after a stressful day? A group fitness class or a brisk 30-minute walk can help. Physical activity stimulates various brain chemicals that may leave you feeling happier and more relaxed. You may also feel better about your appearance and yourself when you exercise regularly, which can boost your confidence and improve your self-esteem. An remember you need some “YOU time ” to recharge your batteries even if it is only 30 min.
Regular physical activity can improve your muscle strength and boost your endurance. Exercise and physical activity deliver oxygen and nutrients to your tissues and help your cardiovascular system work more efficiently. And when your heart and lungs work more efficiently, you have more energy to go about your daily chores.
Exercise and physical activity are a great way to feel better, gain health benefits and have fun. As a general goal, aim for at least 30 minutes of physical activity every day. If you want to lose weight or meet specific fitness goals, you may need to exercise more. Remember to check with your doctor before starting a new exercise program, especially if you have any health concerns.
You can ask us for a call back to discuss a plan of action for 2014 ! Don’t delay …plan ahead ;) )

Drinking plenty of water

Drinking plenty of water

Water is absolutely essential for good health. In fact, water is the second most important thing that your body needs to survive, after oxygen. Making sure you drink enough water is especially important when using our AEM 7 days online detox programme, as the detox will need to be evacuated through perspiration and urination. The more of your recommended 2 litres of water you drink throughout the day, the more effective your body detoxification will be when following Aem 7 days online detox programme.
Water is an extremely important part of detoxification. The kidneys are necessary for helping the body remove toxins and waste, and they rely heavily on water to perform this task. Every time the heart beats, the kidneys take in around 20% of the body’s blood (Blood is around 40% water). It then cleans this blood of unwanted substances, and produces urine. Urine is the fluid that eliminates waste from the body. The kidneys also balance fluids in the body; getting rid of excess water by producing urine. Simply put; if we do not drink enough water (2 litres a day / 8 glasses) our kidneys cannot eliminate waste and toxins in the body effectively. Additionally, if you are dehydrated it will be harder for Aem 7 days online detox to work effectively.

Make a few changes in your routine. For example, instead of a tea or coffee break, take a water break. Or you could keep a bottle on your desk and make an effort to sip from it regularly. Or add some natural minty flavour !
 Happy Detox !

Healthy children digestion

What we eat , how much we exercise, how much water we drink > are all contributing factors in the rise of constipation and this applies to our children too !
The amount of fibre in your child’s diet is very important: toddlers age 1-3 years should get 19 grams of fiber each day and children 4-8 years should get 25 grams of fiber a day
ENOUGH FIBRE + WATER + EXERCISE > GOOD POO :) ))
Fibre is found in plant foods like fruits, vegetables, and grains. Some of the best sources are: whole-grain breads and cereals apples oranges berries prunes pears green peas legumes (dried beans, split peas, lentils, etc.) artichokes almonds yes – stay away from way milk and its derivatives (yogurts…) as they tend to constipate.
The fear / pain of constipation also creates a vicious circle where because it hurts to poo when constipated > they don’t want to poo. Therefore it might be an idea to help relieve from constipation with the help of a laxative to start with and then continue with the natural basic of FIBRE + WATER + EXERCISE > GOOD POO :) ))
Happy poooooooooooo !

December a month of ...festivities

Oh Oh Oh. Here we go the month of December!
Yes the month of festivities but if you are not reasonable and careful > it will become certainly a month of disaster for your wardrobe and your health!
It's just everywhere ...on the TV, in the high street, in the shops, in your mailbox, in your inbox! It’s very difficult to escape all the festive food temptations and treats. Now this would not be a problem if it were for 1 or 2 days but NO it goes on the WHOLE month!!!!It starts with planning for the day of the 24th and 25th meals at home when family is coming over and carries on before - because these festive food offers are just too tempting and after the 24th and 25th because the shops need to get rid of their Xmas food stock so the food sales are ON >>> so here you have it the whole month of December!!!!

And I am not even talking about work Christmas parties - with very often too much alcohol consumption (remember alcohol > sugar > fat) and the informal sort of thing friend Christmas lunch where the "go on let's treat ourselves" is there too!
So whatever you do: PLAN!!!!
Plan WHEN you are going to allow yourself to indulge. Nope NOT the whole month!!!! But on these special days.
Carry on doing some sort of physical activity: I personally recommend allocating an hour in the morning so you are sure it's done and nothing else comes in the way like going pick up this or that, helping out in the house etc...
So to summarise get your Christmas PLAN sorted or you might end up with much more than you wanted for Christmas especially around your waistline ;)

start of my blogs

December 2nd, start of a new month and nearly end of the year 2013 !!!!!
Sounds pretty scary sometimes...
I decided to this blog - although I already have other blogs - because this one is going to be dedicated in sharing with you my friends my journey to healthier living. The ups and downs, inside and out, upward and downward > mmmm...confused? It will become clearer as we go along...

Start of a Monday morning:
Always very hectic after lounging and relaxing Sunday it's always difficult to go from neutral gear to fourth gear because this is what Mondays feels like !!!!

First thing I try to do is get into the right frame of mind and set the tone of the day / week with a healthy breakfast option. I realised over the years that not only s breakfast very important to set your blood sugar level right, get your energy from proper healthy clean food but it also sets me into my daily/weekly healthy eating mode.

I realised that if I start my day with a rushed unhealthy breakfast >> it drives my healthy living mode to zero > 0
Whereas, when I start my day with a clean, nutritious breakfast - one of my favourite is protein pancake - it sets my healthy living focus to 10/10.

I have added a link to my free eBook where you can get my protein pancake recipe for free ;)

Try this for yourself; make a conscious effort to link your moods to your choice of foods. You will be surprised!
